I’m married to Nick, my best friend from high school (cue heart emoji). Together we live in New Zealand's Winterless North (north of the Shire and east of Narnia) with our two beautiful girls Riley and Morgan!

Losing 18kg (40 lbs.) in 2018 was a catalyst for so much inner growth and good. I started skateboarding, mastered a 4 am morning routine, and smashed my lifelong goal of doing 1 chin-up (my record is now 9).

Not everything is perfect though. Nick was diagnosed with MS in 2014 and I kinda cracked. That’s a story for another time, but you don’t have to have everything together to start improving small areas of your life… rather that’s the perfect time to start!

So where did my weight loss journey start?

I’m married to Nick, my best friend from high school (cue heart emoji). Together we live in New Zealand's Winterless North (north of the Shire and east of Narnia) with our two beautiful girls Riley and Morgan!

After struggling for years with a dream to show up differently in this world and a embrace an empowered life I dove deep into YouTube videos and books about the Whole Food Plant Based lifestyle.

Despite amassing vast knowledge about the topic; forming sustainable habits, and being consistent enough to lose the desired weight remained elusive for me. I felt overwhelmed and like a failure after trying this on my own for years with no success.

Recognizing the need for alignment between my actions and values, I turned to Lean With Plants and joined as a client in 2021.

It was here that I learned the tiny habits, simple systems, and consistency strategies which lead me through this process, where I shed 80 lbs and have maintained my healthier lifestyle and body of my dreams for years—a testament to the transformative power of habits, consistency, and support.

Now my passion lies in guiding other women towards their own success stories. If I could achieve this after years of struggle, why not you too?

Joining the Lean With Plants team has been a catalyst for my personal growth. Being surrounded by these women who are committed to growth and empowerment, has inevitably made my own growth trajectory soar. Beyond my work, you’ll likely find me engrossed in deep conversations at a coffee shop, enjoying nature on walks or hikes, hitting the gym, or pounding the pavement on a run. And when I’m not out and about, I’m indulging my creative side as a serial sewist, knitter, and all around fiber enthusiast.

COACH RUTHANNE

Coach Ruthanne is a Jersey-Cali girl, she’s a new mom to her peanut of a daughter Walker, and wife to hrt wonderful husband Ryan. Ruthanne loves all things plants! From the ones on her plate to the 50 house plants surrounding her apartment in the beautiful beach town of Marina Del Rey, CA! Ruthanne is certified in plant-based nutrition and recognizes the importance of data because of her background in math

For years, Ruthanne struggled with holding onto more weight than she wanted. In college, She went vegan hoping it would be the answer. While it helped a little, it wasn’t the complete solution Ruthanne was looking for. Then,

in 2021, Ruthanne discovered LWP, and everything clicked. She found not only a sustainable way to lose weight, but she also discovered mental freedom from obsessing over food. Ruthanne realized that lasting weight loss isn’t about restrictive dieting – it’s about creating habits. She really proved to herself this works as she went through this process again after her pregnancy. She used these same habits to get back to her pre-pregnancy weight.

Now, Ruthanne is on a mission to help other women also free themselves from the diet industry’s grip. She’s passionate about empowering women to break free from the cycle of diet culture and embrace a holistic, sustainable approach to wellness. Abbie has been a devoted vegetarian for over 30 years and her commitment to health took on new meaning in 2020 after losing both her parents to heart disease. With a family history of health challenges,

Abbie turned to plant-based eating and the principles of calorie density to transform her own life. By focusing on nutrient-dense, satisfying foods that naturally promote satiety and sustainable weight loss, she discovered the power of small, consistent habits.

As a certified health coach, meditation teacher, and breathwork practitioner, Abbie combines her expertise in mindfulness and nutrition to help her clients achieve not only a healthy weight but also a vibrant and balanced lifestyle.

Hello there! I live in Cebu, Philippines! I love dogs, reading fiction books, runway modeling, and the idea of passive income.

You might not see me around much, but I'm the one working behind the scenes to help keep things running smoothly. I also look after all things Community Care in the LWP membership so if you have questions, chances are you will be speaking with me!

There are so many wonderful things about working for the Lean with Plants team but the best part is working with amazing people, and I get to see the LWP community thrive together and that feels like a family.
